WellBoss-2 New and Enhanced Gas Detection System for your Gas/Oil Well Properties The100 watt, high-efficiency solar panel and high-capacity rechargeable battery pack supports the four combustible gas sensors and alarming accessories, enabling optimal detection of gas and vapor emissions on your gas or oil well. Intrinsic safety approvals avoid the nuisance of XP equipment.

New: Our new satellite link now provides faster off-site alarms, more economically, even in remote US and global areas where cell towers or land lines can’t reach. Using equatorial satellite makes communications more reliable, without fussing to aim dish antennas. Installation is a breeze, just provide a southern exposure.

Our GasBoss sensors are now an order of magnitude more sensitive (0-10,000 ppm, rather than the old industry standard 0-50,000ppm,) providing additional margins of safety and earlier warning of gas leaks. An explosion can decimate a large gas well investment, while endangering lives of workers and neighbors. Optional wireless connections are available for remote sensors.

Enhanced:Wind dilution is the nemesis of LEL gas detection, so the higher ppm sensitivity is essential for effective results. This high-sensitivity is made possible with Rel-Tek’s unique MagiKal utility, which automatically calibrates the sensors frequently to NIST standards.

Enhanced: The GasBoss sensors are widespectrum, enabling the detection of some 85 different combustible gases and vapors in their respective flammability ranges.

Unlike with optical (NDIR) sensors, there is never an omission of a combustible component. Gases covered include methane, ethane, propane, butane, and liquid oil vapors. Also, unique to this technology, GasBoss sensors can detect highly flammable hydrogen emissions, impossible with optical sensors.

Ambient temperature is monitored continuously at the control panel. A flame detector can be added to the sensor complement, if needed, however, if an emission ever ignites, the rapid heat buildup can be detected by the temperature sensor in the controller and transmitted offsite as a heat alarm.

Enhanced: The higher gas detection sensitivity enables the system to detect climate changing gas emissions faster, and uncover any gas leaks earlier, fully automatic, hands-off, sensor calibration provides ongoing assurance of continued sensor accuracy for years, avoiding costly travel and labor to service the system.

New: Touch screen display shows up to 16 sensors at the same time. Along with a dash board showing on a web URL already configured for quick browser viewing. An onboard GPS shows the geographic location of your WellBoss system on a map graphic, when used with satellite link.

The WellBoss system is now transportable, as needed, yet is virtually immune from toppling from high wind gusts. Temperature extremes extend to -40C/F, 0-100% RH, non-condensing.

Any gas alarm activates a programmable flashing blue strobe and loud warble horn locally. The system transmits sensor values and alarm status off site for Internet access anywhere.

As always: A local digital display inside the front door provides a quick status report whenever needed. Toxic gas sensors in ppm levels, such as CO, H2S, SO2 and even smoke detectors are available, if needed.

The control structure measures about 27” wide x30” deep x 72” high. The CG is low for maximum stability. Use 110-220VAC power hookup if available, using solar power as a backup. The complete unit weighs about 350 lbs. Tie downs are available for additional security.

Sensors intended for installation near the well head, where a hazardous classification may be involved, are equipped with Intrinsic Safety barriers as needed approved for Class I, Div 1/2, Group D. A 12 AWG earth ground is needed for hazardous area usage.
