Alt-fuel sensor technology Our wide-spectrum combustible gas sensors and systems handle alt-fuel combustibles. No time-averaging, no transient clipping, no ethane catastrophe and no drift blanking – just honest LEL detection. IS approvals -- Intrinsic Safety approvals ease installation and maintenance… no need to cut power or declassify the garage to repair or change-out a sensor, as is the case with XP-approved sensors. NFPA-70 permits use of normal wiring practices for intrinsically safe sensors and circuits in classified alt-fuel garages. Long sensor life -- Demonstrated 8-year average sensor life -- CH4 and CO – extends even longer with MagiKal, our unique and well proven automatic calibration utility, used nationwide. Auto-cal pays dividends – MagiKal pays back dividends to owner from labor and cal-gas supply cost savings every year…typically enough to return the entire GDS system cost in 5-10 years. It uses large, economical cal-gas tanks that last for years, cutting the cost to calibrate a sensor by 99%, i.e. about 25 cents vs about $25 for manual calibration or bump test. The 12-bit resolution used provides high precision. And there are no ladders or lifts to risk injury. Cal dates are scheduled a year ahead, and execution is on time, and documentation is automatic. If you suspect a failing sensor, just press the Cal-Now button, and in a few minutes, all sensors in the zone are freshly calibrated and documented. A sensor failing calibration is flagged on the computer display for service. Complete systems -- whether one sensor or a thousand, our own Millennia-DX software provides world-class HMI graphics, data logging and controls for as many as 50 modular, 16-sensor zones – 800 sensors. No third-party software or field components are involved. Distributed visibility -- Any number of our Touch-N-Know (touch-screen) graphics terminals can be installed throughout the plant to provide local readouts anywhere your LAN extends. Alt-Fuel coverage -- Gas detection for your Compressed Natural Gas(CNG) compressors, Liquefied Natural Gas(LNG) or Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) conversion buildings and fuel dispensing islands can be integrated into one economical system. A one-mile radius of error-free telemetry is available. High-speed telemetry is typically 120 sensors per second, thus providing virtual real-time monitoring, even for very large facilities. Rel-Tek has supplied some of the largest alt-fuel garages – one in New Jersey with 250 gas sensors. Forever systems -- Never obsolete, our Millennia-DX handles all combustibles, including methane, natural gas, liquefied natural gas, ethane, propane and even hydrogen. Additional toxic gas sensors can be included: CO, H2S, Cl2. SO2 and NH3, plus CO2 and oxygen for your pits and confined spaces. Accessories include emergency alarms plus phone, email, dialers, even satellite links with URL Internet access, anywhere. Radio links can be provided for telemetry across a highway or across town. Transient protection -- Our TS-100 lightning protection units used on the alt-fuel systems have been adopted by the San Diego US Naval Air Base for protecting their sensitive radar units.
